I won’t lie. I’m a bit excited. In just 5 days I will be taking a class with a CZT (Certified Zentangle Teacher). Grandpa will be coming along with me. Part of the fun of having a stroke is that I don’t go anywhere alone. At this point I don’t drive and while most of the time I’m good, I do get easily confused and overwhelmed. Since I know I’ll be learning something new the chances of getting overwhelmed are high. Thankfully Gay (the instructor) was most gracious about letting Grandpa tag along. She even mentioned to me that Zentangle is a stroke therapy, which is something I had already come across.
Also, through the magic of Facebook today I discovered I am the Diva with a weekly challenge. This week’s challenge (#229) is to shift focus to the white space. How fun! I was just thinking that I really enjoy filling in all the tiny spaces and that I needed to work with larger bolder patterns so that I could leave some white. Good timing. I’ll have to ponder this a while. Plus it’s a great excuse to spend a few hours getting lost in pictures of other doodles. You know, for inspiration.
