Week five was in February, it is now April. Let’s skip the part where I give excuses and just get to the meat of the post. No you haven’t missed week 4, I decided to skip over it.
Week 5 Prompts were as follows; Image – Globe/Earth/Map. Word – World/Home. Journaling prompt – How do you see your place in the world? How do you help the world? Technique – Rubbing with unwrapped crayon or pastel.
I toyed with several ideas on this one before I finally sorted out the elements that I wanted to use. The background was done with watercolor pencil over gesso. I stamped some random spots. This is the first time that I’ve stamped with the intention of not getting a perfect imprint, which was interesting.
The photo is of us last year when we were in downtown Boise. We were attempting a selfie when a lovely person offered to take our picture. This is why I love Idaho.
I adore the detail that Tim Holtz Stickles give. I don’t so much adore my first attempt at using a stencil but that will improve with time.
Until next time…
