I haven’t done much posting lately. No surprise there, I get distracted. Moving on…this week the diva brings us a challenge that I love. I have meant to participate in the last couple of challenges but…life.
In a nutshell, this week the challenge is to tangle for the joy of the experience. Not to tangle to complete something. Not to tangle to learn a pattern. Not to tangle to take on combining this and that pattern. No. Just tangle.
At one point the diva said something that hit home “what if we allowed ourselves the luxury of dancing like no one was watching… but with a pen and a tile?” As soon as I read that I knew that I would be using diva dance in this challenge. It’s only fitting that I use Diva Dance, it was the diva who inspired me to take on this tile.
Further inspired by her instructions, I lit a candle and I turned on some wonderfully relaxing music. For me, on that day, it was some Zen music with some lovely little nature sounds of babbling brook send chirping birds. With the mood set right I began. I laid down my string and I began to tangle. I had an idea of how the first little bit would go but I was delighted when the tangle took off in a direction I did not expect. I actually found myself laughing out loud a couple of times with the utter delight of the way that this tile was turning out. In the end, you can’t really tell that it’s a tile that had a little bit of alcohol ink sprayed on it. I let myself fill up every inch of this sucker. This time, the dance was all about my joy.
Until next time.
