Five designs in five weeks. I feel like that’s some sort of accomplishment! At this point, I honestly cannot say if I’m having more fun putting together these card sketch ideas or if the greater joy is in creating the graphics to share the card sketches with you.
As always how you use this card sketch is up to you. If you’d like to change the orientation of the sketch, add or remove embellishments, use different shapes or change the placement of any elements, it’s your card! Go for it! The flexibility is one of the things I enjoy most about the idea of using a card sketch to design. If you need a little more structure I’ve provided measurements but just like every other element in a card sketch, don’t let that limit you!
I love the simple elegance of white on white in card design. It allows the textures to speak and is one of the few designs that I like to leave wordless. For this design, I chose to make two of the layers into hearts.
The embossing was done with Friskars texture plates and the shapes were cut with the Cricut Explore Air. The result was exactly what I wanted. A simple design that speaks for itself. Much like the couple that it was made for. Happy anniversary Kristy & Andrew. Here’s to many more years of celebrating!
I’m looking forward to seeing how you use this card sketch. If you’ve used this card sketch and would like to share your finished card with everyone fill out the Mister Linky below. I can’t wait to see what you’ve made!
Until next time…
