I’m finding myself looking forward to the Zendala dare each week. I challenge myself each time to change a little something and not just fill in the template. Sometimes it’s a subtle change and sometimes I go way outside the lines.
This week my change was to just eliminate the lines of the innermost shape. The tangles used were Biscus, Pea Nuckle and a touch of inspiration from Balo. I wanted to fully use Balo but couldn’t figure out how to get it to do what I kept seeing.
This week, no instructions. Just a template.
I actually managed to get this done in pretty much one sitting. Not that I didn’t get interrupted a time or two but that’s life. I’m enjoying using this challenge weekly to practice new tangles in my sketchbook before I work on it. This is one of the reasons it takes me a while to get through it. There were a couple of patterns I was thinking about using but once I doodled them I felt like they wouldn’t work in the way I was envisioning.
I’m just glad I got this done before the week was out. Tomorrow is Monday and there will be new challenges.
Until next time.
